Based in Havana, will be held next July the fourth Latin American meeting of puppeteers

The director of La Cucaracha puppetry, Ignacio Nieves Larios of Mexico, informs us that:

The Organization of the Fourth International Workshop on Community Theatre "What brings the tide", invites all those American puppeteers to attend the meeting to be held 19 to July 25, 2004, in the Havana municipality of Marianao, Cuba.

The proposal is to develop new ideas of work from various personal experiences, through two central themes:

- "The commitment of puppetry and puppeteers Latin American societies in the New Millennium"

- "The puppet artists and administrators of culture, a misunderstanding" (Alternatives to bureaucracy)

The workshop will be accompanied by street performing functions in various neighborhoods of Havana.

The organization offers:

- Internal transfer from the airport to the headquarters and meeting places in the neighborhoods

- Accommodation

- A lunch each day, during the event

- Recognition and official invitation of the Center for Theatre and Dance in Havana of the National Performing Arts, to be presented to whom it may concern to deal with the financial support of the groups in their respective countries.
